What kind of content can I submit?

We are accepting work you may have done in the past (so long as it is not owned by a university or institution) or work you may create from any Arctic field work you have done. We are accepting these formats: free-prompt writing, blog entires, poetry, artwork, photography. We cannot take any moving images/film.

What are the submission catagories?

While we do encourage any sort of content you are interested in sharing, here are some questions we are focusing on to help create a cohesive narrative for this book:

  1. What are transformative moments, experiences, or a story you have had in your life from the Arctic?

  2. How do you define the Arctic? i.e. what is the Arctic like?

  3. What does being a polar research scientist mean to you?

  4. Any stories, or multimedia art that helps us explore themes around light, time, the environment, challenges, people, and wildlife.

  5. What do you want people to takeaway from the Arctic story through the eyes of a polar researcher? i.e. why should people care?

What language must it be submitted in?

The polar research community is a global one and we want to honor the languages which navigate this spaces. We will accept works written in your mother tongue language but will need an English translation text so that we may know where to place it.

How do I submit?
